Lens materials
Depending on the prescription and area of application, the following lens materials are available: Hardened glass (silicate) Plastic CR 39 Polycarbonate.
Anti-reflection
Reflection-reducing coatings reduce the amount of light that is reflected. The light transparency of the lenses is improved, vision discomfort is prevented and vision clarity is increased.
Anti-scratch coating
This effective coating makes the surface of CR 39 lenses of prescription safety spectacles highly resistant to mechanical damage.
Tinting
Working outdoors, in brightly lit rooms or with reflective components it is important to protect the eyes from glare. Lens can be used with a constant tint in different colours and transmission levels
uvex Variomatic tinting
Lenses adjust their tint. Depending on intensity of light, UV radiation and temperature, lenses adjust the tint to between 13 % and 65 % in brown or grey. Only available in polycarbonate.
